In recent years, there has been a bit of a resurgence in mining of American sapphires. I love the unique colors that come from the various deposits, including the steely blues that are often associated with the El Dorado Bar. I would describe this gorgeous little cushion as "powder blue." It is completely unheated/untreated, as evidenced by the presence of rutile silk, which gives it a beautiful touch of sleepiness.
