Large, high-quality spinels are getting harder and harder to find these days, as knowledge and popularity of the gem has steadily increased over the years. At essentially 5 ct., this is a particularly fine example. It has a lovely, slightly sleepy appearance, and the color is a bit lighter than the photos suggest. A very lovely African beauty!
