While I do cut for many jewelers, investors, and collectors, anyone can have a gem cut, even if he or she has no experience with gemstones at all. I will work with you in picking the cut that will compliment your stone perfectly (I will even help you decide on a gem type if you are not sure exactly what you are looking for.) It only takes a couple of days to complete the actual cutting work. However, depending upon the type of payment method you choose, waiting for payment to arrive and "clear" may take as much as two weeks (in the case of personal checks). Shipping is done via insured priority mail, which usually only takes about three days to reach any destination within the US. The average turnaround time that I have observed is about two weeks from placement of the order (if payment is sent immediately). Turnaround time also depends upon whether the rough in question is already in stock, or whether I will be sourcing it for you.
Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer this service. Growth of our business has forced us to permanently eliminate the cutting of others' rough. By narrowing our focus and reducing project backlog, this change will help ensure that the excellent customer service our clients have come to expect will continue uninterrupted.
Because of the significant cost involved, I do not routinely have my stones certified by third-party labs. However, I stand behind each gemstone that I sell, and each one carries my personal "certification" and guarantee. If you find that a stone you receive from me is not of the quality claimed or has been misrepresented in any way, you are entitled to a complete refund (no questions asked).

Certainly. Many people have told me that they feel intimidated when purchasing gemstones because they don't really know exactly what they are looking for, and don't know how to go about asking the right questions so that they CAN figure out what they need. My main concern is ensuring that each customer is happy with his or her order. Therefore, I provide my customers with a one-week inspection period following every gemstone purchase. If, during that time, you decide that your stone is just not what you were expecting, simply return it to us for a refund. It is that simple. Once we receive the stone, your money will be refunded immediately (provided that the stone is not damaged in any way). Stones that have been damaged or altered may not be returned.
Yes. Picking the proper stone type for such an important ring involves a lot more than finding what looks good. Like the bond it is meant to signify, it should be a very durable gemstone, since it will be worn almost every day for many years. I will work with you to find that perfect gem.
